This quote by Michael sums this line of reasoning up quite well: Lucifer has less motivation to listen to God, and this is why Lucifer is more evil than Michael. Michael is acting with the best possible intentions, he only wants to serve God and be a good son. Michael does not seem to hate humanity in the slightest, so it is logical to assume that the Apocalypse is just to serve God and not an act of hate for the people of Earth. For this, it appears that Michael has been stripped of his free will. He acts on God's commands without a second thought. And, Lucifer has more free will than Michael does, so it goes without showing that Lucifer appears to be more evil than Michael.Īs mentioned before, Michael's one joy is to be the best possible son to God. Or maybe it was the rampage in Hammer of the Gods that finally showed who Lucifer truly is? Either way, Lucifer is a pretty evil character. Fans will note this when Lucifer kills an entire town of people, or when he has all his minions kill themselves. He simply does not care who gets in his way, and if death is necessary, Lucifer will kill without hesitation. Lucifer is more or less self centered, he is vicious when it comes to achieving his own goals. Some may argue that it is Michael who is more evil, and it mainly boils down to the Apocalypse and the fact that millions of humans lives are at stake. But is he truly the vilest character in Supernatural? He acts out of his own choices so often that he was imprisoned by God. On Supernatural, Lucifer is a proud, free thinking angel.
